What is Brightside Events?

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to organize special events and donate the proceeds to deserving charities.  Our organization is 100% volunteer-run.

Our past events include Blackjack on the Lake, Baldwin Park Art & Jazz Festival, Doggie Derby, Derby Jubilee & Auction, and Spirit Stroll.  We have raised funds for many different causes over the years including Toys for Tots, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, SPCA, Fleet Peeples Park, Canine Companions for Independence, the Sebastian Haul Fund, and our own Stock the Pantry Program.  To learn more please visit http://brightsideevents.org.

What is the Stock the Pantry Program?

 

 

 

 

Brightside Events’ Stock the Pantry Program is a grassroots campaign that will provide food to the more than 140 homeless students who are registered at three schools near Baldwin Park.

We work directly with Audubon Park Elementary, Glenridge Middle School and Winter Park High School to get non-perishable food items to the students. The first “food drops” took place March 19; the second round of drops is scheduled for May 21. That’s just before the spring and summer breaks – when the children most need our help!
